Struggling to keep up with the social media sphere? We've got you!
Instagram has recently announced several updates which may be changing the game when it comes to content algorithms. Take a look at some of the most talked about features here:
"Dislike" Button for Comments: Instagram is testing a "Dislike" button that allows users to privately express disapproval of specific comments. This feature aims to help users manage their experience by signaling unwanted or irrelevant comments, potentially influencing comment visibility. Currently, it's in testing with a small user group, with broader availability expected in the near future. Watch this space!
Reels Pause Functionality: Responding to user feedback, Instagram is testing a feature that enables users to pause Reels with a single tap. Previously, pausing required holding down the screen, which limited user interaction. This update is currently available to a select group of users worldwide but we're hoping to see it rolled out very soon.
AI-Generated Stickers: Instagram has introduced AI-generated stickers, allowing users to create unique stickers by entering text prompts. This feature enhances personalization in Stories and direct messages, offering a creative outlet of expression.
In terms of when we're likely to see any changes, its up to Meta to make the call - although at the rate everything is moving don't be surprised to see even more changes and features in the near future!
