2023 Marketing Round Up!

Here at Key Lime we are always so excited to see the creative marketing campaigns that take over the internet each year and 2023 did not disappoint! Here’s a summary of our favourite campaigns from last year.

We couldn’t not absolutely fall in love with the $100 million dollar Barbie campaign. The movie took over the year in all the best ways possible and has partnered with a variety of huge companies, from a bright fuschia Xbox to a real-life Barbie Dreamhouse in Malibu that’s available to book through Airbnb. With the help of Oppenheimer, the whole Barbenheimer phenomenon created conversations and engagements across the world and the release of these two movies boasted the fourth biggest box office turnout in history.

Keeping on the pink theme, ASDA launched one of the largest campaigns in collaboration with Coca Cola in light of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In aid to raise funds for charity partners to support breast cancer treatments many brands changed their packaging to pink, one being Coca Cola with a £1 donation from every purchase.

Next up, the team loved Maybelline’s CGI Mascara campaign! Tubes and buses across London wore false eyelashes to show off the effect of the viral Sky High Mascara, this advertisement was later proved as CGI but nonetheless an amazing creative campaign that made us all want Sky High lashes!

One of the biggest attractions near the Las Vegas Strip has landed and you can’t miss it! To promote the arrival of Summer League, The Sphere was lit up as a giant basketball and raised viral debates across social media. The gigantic Sphere cost $2.3 billion dollars to build, making it the most expensive entertainment venue ever constructed in Las Vegas!

Arguably the most iconic marketing stunt of 2023, Rihanna at the Superbowl. The halftime show was nothing less than amazing, not only did she reveal to the world that she was pregnant with her second child but Fenty Beauty sales increased by millions of dollars after she topped up her Invisimatte powder inbetween songs.
